The Dog Days of Summer

The dog days of summer are done, but Festival Country Indiana's aquatic centers want to give their furry friends some water time!

On Sept. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., enjoy the annual Doggie Pool Day and Pet Fair at the Franklin Family Aquatic Center in Franklin. Please register at the Cultural Arts & Recreation Center before you enter the facility. Along with the availability of the aquatic center, the event organizers will be having vendors that will be focused towards four-legged friends. Small dogs (under 35 pounds) will be from 5 to 6 p.m. and big dogs (35 pounds or larger) will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Each dog is $5. They will only have the zero-depth pool open for this event. On Sept. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m., Freedom Springs Aquatic Center in Greenwood welcomes four-legged friends to the water park for an end-of-summer pool party. Dogs under 30 pounds swim from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while those 30 pounds or larger swim from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Click here for details.
