The pumpkins, the costumes, the sweet treats – it all screams spooky season to us. Whether you’re on the hunt for trunk or treating, a Sammy Terry sighting, or a festive parade, this is the place to look. Here are our Top 5 Halloween Happenings, plus dozens of extras.

Greenwood Monster Mash

Join Greenwood Parks on October 21 at Craig Park for their annual Halloween party featuring trick-or-treating, music, dancing, food and a hayride. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

Halloween Town

Franklin transforms into the mecca of monsters during this festival. At 9 a.m., the Halloween Hustle will kick off. This 5K run/walk or 1-mile family fun walk starts at the amphitheater. At 11 a.m., the Halloween Town festival starts with food vendors, activities and trick or treating from stores and decorated car trunks. Spookiest of all, horror host Sammy Terry will be in front of the Artcraft Theater from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Kelsay Farms Trick or Treating

What do you get when you mix a corn maze with trick or treating? It’s Halloween at Kelsay Farms, happening on October 29. Trick or treat through the maze to receive candy and prizes.

Edinburgh Halloween Festival

On October 28, the town of Edinburgh will be hosting trick or treating throughout the high school gym along with a free meal of hotdogs, walking tacos and drinks.

Greenwood Halloween Parade

Rounding out the list of Halloween happenings is this festive parade throughout downtown Greenwood. It will start and end at Craig Park, taking Main Street, Madison Avenue and Surina Way along the route. Wear your costume and be ready to get candy from the parade. It will be on October 29 at 5 p.m.
