The coolest art installation (and setting for great Instagram photos) is the alley next to The Historic Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., Franklin. Decorated with 200 colorful stars overhead, the art installation was placed for Franklin and Johnson County’s bicentennial. The stars are treated with blacklight paint so it’s an even cooler experience when the sun goes down. 

The stars are generally up from April to November each year.
