Register to chalk a 3- by 3-foot square in the heart of Ethos Celebration of the Arts for a chance to share your creativity and for a chance to win a $100 grand prize, and four sets of $50 and $25 cash prizes. Divisions include 0-11 years old, 12-17 years old, and 18+ years old. Artists, beginners, businesses and kids are welcome. Single spaces are 3- by 3-foot squares, but larger configurations are accepted. This year, there will also be a $250 prize for the best replication of a famous work of art. 

The cost to enter is $10 per square and the registration form and fee must be received by Sept. 27 to guarantee a spot, although some spots may be available for late registrants and walk-ups. Payment can be made by cash, check or card. Registration can be done in person at the Festival Country Indiana Visitor Center (66 S. Water St., Franklin), or online at the link once it is available.

The location will be in downtown Franklin at the intersection of Madison Street and Main Street.

Chalking will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Awards will be given after 2 p.m. Festival Country will have chalk available at the event, but attendees can bring their own. Because this is a family event, Festival Country reserves the right to remove offensive content.
