IMAGO

IMAGO: A Living Art Experience

Coming in October of 2026, IMAGO is a public art initiative designed to celebrate creativity, connection, and transformation in Old Town Greenwood.

Inspired by the concept of transformation, IMAGO represents the final stage of development—a fully realized and visible expression of growth. Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, the project reflects the evolution of individuals, ideas, and communities.

Old Town Greenwood, Inc./Arts in Old Town, Festival Country Indiana, and Teal Canary/Artist Amy Barile are spearheading this project

You can participate

The public is welcome to help paint butterfly panels during Arts in Old Town, which is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month through and including September. This event is in downtown Greenwood, near the intersection of Main Street and Madison Avenue.

The artists have been selected. See below as we add more information about each artist and their concept.
