Praise Acres

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to walk on a nature trail, have a picnic or do a photo shoot, head to Praise Acres in Bargersville.

Located at 4999 N. 725 West, which is a half mile west of Mallow Run Winery, this 11-acre site greets you with a display of old farm implements and several wood carvings made from a 175-year-old tree oak tree. The carvings include one of “praying hands” and others featuring the words faith, family and freedom.

People are welcome to pull off the road and get their photo taken with the wood carvings, and to walk on the mowed trail that leads past a variety of trees, including oaks.

Praise Acres is the idea of the property owners, Jeff and Sharon Beck. It’s designed to be an oasis as more property becomes developed.

Also, a short distance away, at the Beck’s home at 4660 N Rd 725 West, see the mural depicting farm life on their barn.
