All right people. You need to have a plan!
To avoid the tryptophan-induced coma on Thanksgiving, might I suggest we all start our day with a fun Thanksgiving day run.
Come out for the Turkey Burn 5K, 10K or 1.5-mile run/walk. The event starts at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving day at Craig Park, located at 10 E. Smith Valley Road in Greenwood, but packet pickup is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the park’s amphitheater. Register online, with costs ranging from $20 to $35 depending on shirt option.

We should, however, be realistic, and assume that even if we run or walk in the morning, that we'll be stuffed (like a turkey) full of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pie and more just a few short hours later.
So, I have another idea.
Hoosier Brewhouse, located at 157 Holiday Place in Franklin, will be open on Thanksgiving day from 5 to 10 p.m. for their Stretchy Pants Party. There will be a prize for the best pair of stretchy pants.
They will also have live music starting at 6 p.m., and an indoor cornhole tournament with prizes.
Happy Thanksgiving!
