The Willard's Tenderloin Named One of Indiana's Best

Tenderloins are definitely a thing in Indiana.

And a local restaurant that has become famous for its delicious pork tenderloin sandwiches just finished as one of the Top 3 “Best Tenderloins” in Visit Indiana’s Best of Indiana contest.

The Willard Restaurant in Franklin finished among the leaders in the ultra-competitive contest. The restaurant was one of 32 restaurants from across the state that competed in the Best Tenderloins category.

The Willard’s tenderloin, which won first place in the People’s Choice category and the Breaded Tenderloin category in this summer’s Tenderloin Throwdown in Greensburg, IN, is made from pork that is farm-raised in Frankfort, IN, and it is battered with buttermilk, flour, and spices and grilled to perfection. It has also gotten bigger over time, and is now the size of a plate.

Stay tuned, since we're working on a list of the Top 10 tenderloins right here in Festival Country Indiana, just south of Indy.
