Franklin Parks & Recreation will be hosting a Tree Identification Walk along with the Johnson County Public Library. Join Lindsey Purcell, an Urban Forestry Specialist, as he takes us on a walk through the Urban Forest. Learn the importance of a native tree canopy in an urban setting and how it supports our community, birds, pollinators and native wildlife. Also learn more about one of the Forest’s oldest tree, over 150 years old, the Telling Tree.
