Make 2023 the year of trying new things with these one-of-a-kind eateries in Franklin. Whether it’s delicious macarons or curry pizza, there’s more to discover just south of Indy.

Field to Fork

In the heart of downtown Franklin, you’ll find this farm-to-table grocery store and eatery. They work with local farmers and makers to provide fresh, locally grown or sourced goods. You’ll find hydroponic greens, locally raised beef, kombucha, dairy products, coffee and more. On top of that, they make delicious, unique sandwiches using only the freshest ingredients. Our pick is the Franklin Jam made with thick-cut ham, egg, greens and fig jam on a croissant, but you can’t go wrong with any of their signature sandwiches.

Chicago’s Pizza and Curry

Curry pizza? You heard that right. Along with traditionally flavored pizzas, pastas and wings, this restaurant also serves Indian-style pizzas like chicken curry, tikka masala, madras lamb, butter chicken and more. Trust us, it’s delicious.

Norma Jean’s Pastries

It’s not every day that you find a gourmet macaron shop. After perfecting the art of these delicate French pastries, Norma Jean’s brought them to Franklin in a rotating variety of flavors like lavender honey, earl grey orange, Andes mint, cinnamon roll and more. Check their Facebook to see what flavors are on the menu each week.

1823 Bakehouse

Whether you practice a gluten-free diet or not, 1823 Bakehouse is sure to impress. Their rotating variety of baked goods like scones, donuts, brownies and more are a favorite around here. Plus, they offer a wide variety of coffee, tea and other beverages, as well as breakfast and lunch items like sandwiches, quiche and tacos.
