What's New in 2026

Here in Festival Country Indiana, we're always striving to create more fun just south of Indy. Whether that's transforming regular alleys into cool photo opportunities, creating new live music venues, or dreaming up brand new festivals, there's always more fun to be found.

This year, we're excited to unveil a few new surprises. Here's what to look forward to in 2026.

1. New outdoor event spaces

We're sponsoring not one, but two brand new outdoor event plazas in Trafalgar and Edinburgh that will include stages for live music, green space and more. These will be the perfect locations for outdoor events like concerts, festivals and craft markets.

Another great outdoor space will be the Festival Country Fun Plaza, located in front of Toodleydoo Toys in downtown Franklin. This will be a free, fenced, outdoor game plaza with semi-permanent cornhole, connect four, foosball, and game tables for children and adults.

2. New festivals

We're partnering with Franklin Parks & Recreation to host Festival Country Kickoff on May 16. Happening at the Youngs Creek Park amphitheater in downtown Franklin, this new festival will kick start festival season with three concerts, plus we'll celebrate the amphitheater's fifth birthday with a giant birthday cake for all to enjoy. Stay tuned for more details as the event draws near.

Also, the Indiana Renaissance Fair is expanding to two weekends this year: June 13-14 and June 20-21. Both will be at Johnson County Park.

3. New businesses

Our list of upcoming new businesses is always growing, and so far it includes The Ark sports complex in Greenwood, Butter Sugar Flour's Franklin location (a nitro coffee bar), Pana Donuts in Franklin, Lola's Table in Bargersville, Slick City Action Park in Greenwood, The Story Nook in Greenwood, and More Than Burgers in Greenwood.
