Launching on Nov. 1, 2026, IMAGO is a public art initiative featuring 16 human-sized butterfly sculptures placed throughout Greenwood, each one creatively brought to life with a different design and theme.

The special event on Nov. 1 offers people a chance to walk around and meet many of the artists at their butterfly locations from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. reception at Southside Art League, located at 299 E. Broadway St., Greenwood.

On or after that day, people are welcome to stroll around Old Town Greenwood to experience – and get their photo with – each of the unique butterflies.
