Father’s Day is coming up and Festival Country has what you need to make this weekend extra special. Give your father or father-figure a time to remember just south of Indy. Check out the list below to find our top recommendations.

Find Hoosier Brewing, MashCraft Brewing, SmockTown Brewing, Oaken Barrel and Planetary Brewing Company in Greenwood. Travel to Bargersville for Taxman. Stop by Nailers in Whiteland. Then, grab a drink at Shale Creek Brewing Company or great food and brews at Big Woods in Franklin. If you’re looking for a unique experience, head over to Old Towne Beer Hall & Growler Company in Franklin to try their u-pour system with over 50 beers, wines and cocktails. For the dad who loves music:

If he loves live music, catch an outdoor show at the Greenwood Summer Concert Series, Mallow Run Winery or the DriveHubler.com Amphiteather in Franklin. Live music can also be found on select weekends at a number of Festival Country restaurants. 

For the outdoorsy dad:

Head outside and treat dad to some time in nature. Festival Country offers activities such as fishing and target shooting at Camp Atterbury, archery at Honey Creek Tackle and axe throwing at Johnson County Axe Throwing, Outer Edge Axe Lounge and Hoosier Brewing Company. Try traditional or disc golf at one of several locations throughout the county.

Head to Johnson County Park for a unique outdoor experience on Saturday with a miniature train ride from the Indiana Live Steamers.

Give a hands-on experience like no other at Whiteland Raceway Park. This unique race track allows you to race Italian go-karts that go up to 45 mph.

Finally, let him unwind at The Smoke Pit, a classy cigar bar in Greenwood.
