If you’re not heading south to Florida for spring break, you can still find spring break fun by heading south (south of Indy, that is).
Here are the top things to do over spring break in Festival Country Indiana:
Catch a movie. The Historic Artcraft Theatre in Franklin is one-of-a-kind. This single-screen theatre offers an amazing moviegoing experience, with pre-show skits, locally grown popcorn, contests and, of course, classic movies.
Say cheese. Explore the more than 30 murals, the two Instagram-worthy alleys, and the Top 10 Selfie Spots throughout Festival Country.
Visit a museum. Festival Country is home to Johnson County Museum of History in Franklin, which features exhibits tracing the local history from its beginnings to the 1950s.
Race away. Rascal's Fun Zone is the place for indoor and outdoor go-karts, an arcade, mini golf, bumper boats, mini bowling and more.
Decorate a cake. At Cake Kreations, you can choose a freshly baked cake or cupcake, then use a wide variety of icings, candies and decorations to design your own edible artwork.
Try axe throwing. Festival Country is home to the family-friendly Johnson County Axe Throwing in Whiteland, as well as the axe throwing experiences at Hoosier Brewing Company and Outer Edge Axe Lounge.
Enjoy mini bowling. At 10 Pins Franklin, you can experience mini bowling, which uses smaller balls and shorter lanes. They also have arcade games.
Create something. Festival Country is home to uPaint Pottery Studio (paint your own pottery) and Board & Brush (make a board sign).
Might as well jump. Check out Urban Air Adventure Park in Franklin, an indoor adventure park featuring attractions like the sky rider, warrior obstacle course, climbing walls, warrior battle beam, trampolines, ropes course, tubes, slam dunk zone, dodgeball courts and more.
Have a tea party. Experience a traditional English tea setting at Sassafras Tea Room complete with decorative tea pots and cups, finger sandwiches and treats.
Treat yourself. Find your new favorite sweet treat by exploring the more than two dozen spots on the Sweets Trail.
And, if the weather cooperates, enjoy outdoor attractions like disc golf courses, skate parks, mini golf courses, and more. You can also take a self-guided walking tour by clicking here or picking up a printed map at the visitor center.
